PRIVACY, WITHOUT THE FINE PRINT FEEL

Your thoughts
stay yours.

ThinkWisp is built to help you think on your own terms. Here's what that means for the information you keep in the app.

PRIVACY POLICY — THINKWISP

Effective Date:

Developer: Robsin

✳

The short version

ThinkWisp is an offline-first app developed by Robsin. Notes, recordings, imported models, reminders, and on-device analysis are kept locally on your device. ThinkWisp does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data, thoughts, or voice recordings with any external servers or third parties.

01 — WHAT YOU SAVE

Information in the app

When you use ThinkWisp, the content you choose to save may include:

  • Text thoughts, voice recordings, and transcripts you create or edit.
  • Summaries and task suggestions generated from your Inbox, along with tasks and reminder settings you choose to save.
  • Language and speech model files that you import for on-device use.

This information is stored locally in the app on your device. ThinkWisp does not require an account to use its core features.

02 — WHERE IT HAPPENS

Processing stays local & zero third-party tracking

Voice transcription (`RECORD_AUDIO`) and thought analysis run entirely on your device using model files you import. ThinkWisp does not upload your notes, recordings, transcripts, or prompts to any cloud server for processing, nor does it integrate third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. The app’s task and daily reminders are scheduled locally by your device and do not require an internet connection.

Some system features—such as choosing a file, scheduling notifications, or opening a share sheet—are provided by iOS or Android. Their behavior is subject to the settings and policies of your device and operating system.

03 — YOU'RE IN CONTROL

Backups and sharing

Backups are optional and started entirely by you. You can export a backup protected with AES-GCM encryption and a passphrase that ThinkWisp does not save, or choose a plaintext JSON export. Voice recordings are optional in backups and subject to an export size limit; model files are not included.

When you export or share a file, it leaves the app’s private storage and is handled by the destination you choose, such as your device's file manager, cloud drive, or another app. Please review that destination’s privacy practices. Restoring a backup merges its entries with your current app data.

04 — DEVICE ACCESS

Permissions

ThinkWisp only requests system permissions when you use a feature that needs them:

  • Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): to capture audio locally on your device when you choose to record a voice note. Audio is processed on-device and never transmitted externally.
  • Notifications & Exact Alarms (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): to deliver the local task reminders and optional daily reminders you schedule at the exact time you specify.
  • Files or media picker: to let you select local AI/speech model files or a backup file from your device storage to import.

You can manage or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. If you deny a permission, the related feature may not function.

05 — YOUR CHOICES & DATA RETENTION

Keep, export, or remove

Because all data resides locally on your device, you have complete control over its retention and deletion. You can edit or delete individual thoughts, recordings, and tasks directly inside the app at any time. Uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage in your device settings permanently deletes all information stored by ThinkWisp on your device. Any backup file you previously exported outside the app remains in the location where you saved it and must be deleted manually from that location.

Children’s Privacy: ThinkWisp does not collect personal data from any users, including children under the age of 13.
